Heli-One Supports Era Helicopters
November 20, 2008VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA – (November 20, 2008 – Marketwire) – Heli-One, an operating division of the CHC Group, announced today it has been awarded two new contracts by Era Helicopters, LLC (“Era”) to support major components in thirteen helicopters and overhaul six CT58 engines in Era’s fleet.
The first contract is for a three-year power-by-the-hour support of four Sikorsky S-76C++ helicopters, six Sikorsky S-76A++ helicopters, and three Sikorsky S-61 helicopters. Major components, including main, tail and intermediate gearboxes, are covered under the agreement.
The second contract is for repair and overhaul of various S-76 and S-61 components, including overhaul of six CT58 engines installed in Era’s S-61 helicopters. The first CT58 engine overhaul is expected to take place in July 2009.
