Heli-One’s primary maintenance repair and overhaul activities are enhanced by a further 26000 sq ft of Supporting Workshops equipped with significant machining, welding, cleaning, NDT and paint capabilities across all product lines and aircraft types.  The Supporting Workshops, backed by an experienced and highly qualified engineering team contribute to significant savings through parts repairs and recovery as well as significantly reducing TATs on major components.

Our aviation certified machinists and technologists ensure that the work carried out in accordance with all relevant standards and completed to the  highest levels of quality and precision.  Our state of the art machine shop includes 3 axis CNC bed mills, 5 axis manual mills, manual engine lathes, universal grinders for internal, external and face and surface grinding.  Dimensional standards are maintained by modern, calibrated metrology equipment and a CMM housed in an environmentally controlled laboratory. 

Welding Shop capabilities include TIG welding, spot welding, micro spot welding, torch brazing, oven stress relieve.   In addition, the shop carries out repairs utilizing dual wire arc spraying, combustion wire spraying, combustion powder spraying and plasma spraying processes.  All welders are tested In accordance with AWS D17.1/D17.1M:2010 for the following alloys:  Stainless Steels, Nickel base alloys, Cobalt based alloys, Aluminum, Magnesium, and Titanium alloys

Heli-One is approved to carry out both MFD and Penetrant Non-Destructive Testing. 

Cleaning is carried out by utilization of either chemical or abrasive cleaning processes as required. Paint facilities are complemented with paint booths and curing ovens.
