Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)on a Eurocopter AS332 L2
Machining
Heli-One's machine shop has extensive capabilities to satisfy all your machining requirements. We have fully certified journeymen aircraft machinists on staff full time to ensure our work is of the highest quality. Our full time fully certified aircraft welders make certain that the welding we complete is of the highest quality, to ensure the safety and integrity of your aircraft.
Our shops also include various manual grinders for shaping and sharpening tools and a highly accurate rotary table. Our machine shop is invaluable in it's support of our overhaul and repair operation. We pride ourselves on developing innovative solutions to all your machining requirements.

Non-Destructive Testing
Non Destructive Testing (NDT) is critical to any maintenance, repair and overhaul facility, and Heli-One is no different. Heli-One has facilities and technicians to complete numerous forms of NDT, to identify potentially hazardous conditions before they become problematic. Safety, quality and reliability are paramount at Heli-One, and NDT techniques allow our technicians to verify the integrity of components and airframes that come through our shops. Through various NDT we are able to distinguish harmless surface scratches from cracks and fissures that could compromise the safety of passengers and crews on the aircraft.
We currently perform Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI), Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) and Ultrasonic Inspection (UI). We have the flexibility and contacts to accomplish Eddy Current, Radiography and numerous other NDT, if desired. We are capable of completing different NDT both in house and in the field.
Painting & Upholstery
Painting
Heli-One is capable of completing virtually any helicopter re-paint project required. We can produce custom paint schemes that meet or exceed Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and customer standards, for both interior and exterior paint. Our facilities can accommodate aircraft as large as Sikorsky S-92s.
Chemical stripping, or (when required) plastic media blasting (PMB) techniques are employed to remove old paint and filer leaving a clean surface to work with. Associated bodywork, corrosion removal and fiberglass/composite repairs are also completed.
Heli-One's pressure and temperature-controlled booths are environmentally sound to facilitate dependable quality painting. We can complete minor touch ups or total stripping and painting – our experience and attention to detail will ensure that you are satisfied with your aircraft's completed paint scheme.
Upholstery
Heli-One is capable of refurbishing complete aircraft interiors. Our skills extend to soft shell or hard shell interiors, cabin and cockpit seats and any other features of the aircraft interior. All aspects of our work are designed to meet or exceed current FAR 29 & part 25 related material flammability requirements.
